Barkarö SK was one of 123 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Oktoberpokalen 2016. They participated with three teams in P07 Lätt/Medel and F06 Svår respectively. The team in P07 Lätt/Medel made it to the the Bronze match in A-Slutspeland won it over IF Brommapojkarna 3 röd by 3-1.
In addition to this, Barkarö SK have participated in Oktoberpokalen before. During Oktoberpokalen 2015, Barkarö SK had two teams playing in P04 Lätt/Medel. Two teams played until 1/8 Final in A-Slutspel; P04 Lätt/Medel Blå lost against IF Brommapojkarna 25 by 2-3 and P04 Lätt/Medel Röd lost against Djurgårdens IF FF 7 by 8-9. Barkarö SK comes from Västerås which lies approximately 90 km from Djursholm, where Oktoberpokalen takes place.
