In addition to IF Brommapojkarna, 7 other teams played in P04 Extra Svår (Inbjudningsklass). They were divided into 2 different groups, whereof IF Brommapojkarna could be found in Group 2 together with BK Häcken, Kristianstad FC and IFK Lidingö FK A.
IF Brommapojkarna made it to Slutspel A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 2. Once in the playoff they won every match inluding the Final against IFK Lidingö FK A, which they won with 1-0. Thereby IF Brommapojkarna won the entire Slutspel A in P04 Extra Svår (Inbjudningsklass) during Oktoberpokalen 2016.
