Jarlabergs IF was one of 123 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Oktoberpokalen 2016. They participated with two teams in P06 Lätt/Medel and P05 Lätt/Medel respectively. Two teams played until Final in A-Slutspel; P06 Lätt/Medel lost against IFK Lidingö FK 2 by 1-2 and P05 Lätt/Medel U11 lost against AIK FF 06-U by 2-3.

In addition to this, Jarlabergs IF have participated in Oktoberpokalen before. During Oktoberpokalen 2015, Jarlabergs had three teams playing in P06 Lätt/Medel, P03 Extra Svår and P03 Svår respectively. Two teams played until in Gruppspel; P03 Extra Svår won over Sollentuna FK by 2-0 but P03 Svår Gul lost against Vasalunds IF Solna by 0-2.

Jarlabergs comes from Saltsjö-Boo which lies approximately 13 km from Djursholm, where Oktoberpokalen takes place. The area around Saltsjö-Boo does also provide 103 additional clubs participating during Oktoberpokalen 2016 (Among others: Täby FK, Nacka FC, Hammarby IF FF, IFK Vaxholm, Djurgårdens IF FF 7, Saltsjöbadens if, Hanvikens SK, Apollon Solna FK, Stureby SK and FC Boo).
