IFK Lidingö FK was one of 109 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Oktoberpokalen 2017. They participated with 10 teams in P08 Svår/Extrasvår, P06 Svår/Extra Svår, P05 Extra Svår (Inbjudningsklass), P05 Svår, P06 Extra Svår [9-m] (Inbjudningsklass) and P05 Lätt/Medel respectively. The team in P06 Extra Svår [9-m] (Inbjudningsklass) made it to the the in Vidarespeland won it over IK Sirius FK by 3-1.
In addition to this, IFK Lidingö FK have participated in Oktoberpokalen before. During Oktoberpokalen 2016, IFK Lidingö FK had 9 teams playing in P07 Svår/Extra Svår, P05 Extra Svår [9-m] (Inbjudningsklass), P05 Lätt/Medel and F07 respectively. The team in P05 Extra Svår [9-m] (Inbjudningsklass) made it to the the Bronze match in Slutspel, but lost it against IFK Göteborg by 1-3. IFK Lidingö FK comes from Lidingö which lies approximately 5 km from Djursholm, where Oktoberpokalen takes place.
