IK Frej Täby was one of 109 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Oktoberpokalen 2017. They participated with two teams in P08 Svår/Extrasvår and P05 Svår respectively. The team in P05 Svår made it to the the Final in Slutspel, but lost it against IFK Österåker FK 1 by 1-2.
In addition to this, IK Frej Täby have participated in Oktoberpokalen before. During Oktoberpokalen 2016, Frej Täby had 4 teams playing in P04 Lätt/Medel, P04 Svår, F07 and F04 Lätt/Medel respectively. The team in F04 Lätt/Medel made it to the the in Gruppspeland won it over IFK Stocksund by 2-0. Frej Täby comes from Täby which lies approximately 10 km from Djursholm, where Oktoberpokalen takes place.
