IF Brommapojkarna was one of 109 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Oktoberpokalen 2017. They participated with 7 teams in P08 Svår/Extrasvår, P07 Svår/Extra Svår, P06 Svår/Extra Svår, P05 Extra Svår (Inbjudningsklass), P05 Svår and P06 Extra Svår [9-m] (Inbjudningsklass) respectively. The team in P06 Extra Svår [9-m] (Inbjudningsklass) made it to the the in Vidarespeland won it over AIK FF by 2-0.
In addition to this, IF Brommapojkarna have participated in Oktoberpokalen before. During Oktoberpokalen 2016, Brommapojkarna had 9 teams playing in 9 out of Oktoberpokalens all 17 categories. The team in P04 Svår made it to the the Final in Slutspeland won it over Djurgårdens IF FF by 1-0. Brommapojkarna comes from Bromma which lies approximately 12 km from Djursholm, where Oktoberpokalen takes place. The area around Bromma does also provide 86 additional clubs participating during Oktoberpokalen 2017 (Among others: AIK FF, IFK Stocksund, FC Boo, Enskede IK, Örby IS, Boo FF, Karlbergs BK, IFK Vaxholm, Sollentuna FK and Bro IK).
