In addition to IF Brommapojkarna, 7 other teams played in P05 Extra Svår (Inbjudningsklass). They were divided into 2 different groups, whereof IF Brommapojkarna could be found in Group 2 together with Karlslunds IF HFK, IFK Lidingö FK and IFK Göteborg A.
IF Brommapojkarna made it to Slutspel A after reaching 1:st place in Group 2. Once in the playoff they won every match inluding the Final against AIK FF, which they won with 2-1. Thereby IF Brommapojkarna won the entire Slutspel A in P05 Extra Svår (Inbjudningsklass) during Oktoberpokalen 2017. IF Brommapojkarna also participated in P05 Lätt/Medel during Oktoberpokalen 2016.
