IFK Haninge 1 was one of 123 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Oktoberpokalen 2016. They participated with one team in P06 Svår/Extra Svår.

In addition to IFK Haninge 1, 27 other teams played in P06 Svår/Extra Svår. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof IFK Haninge 1 could be found in Group 7 together with IK Sirius FK Vit, IF Brommapojkarna 17 and Hammarby IF FF 10.

IFK Haninge 1 continued to Slutspel A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 7. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against IFK Lidingö FK 11 with 0-4. In the Final, IFK Lidingö FK 11 won over IF Brommapojkarna 2 and became the winner of Slutspel A in P06 Svår/Extra Svår.

IFK Haninge 1 comes from jordbro which lies approximately 30 km from Djursholm, where Oktoberpokalen takes place. The area around jordbro does also provide 99 additional clubs participating during Oktoberpokalen 2016 (Among others: Täby FK, Nacka FC, Hammarby IF FF, IFK Vaxholm, Djurgårdens IF FF 7, Saltsjöbadens if, Hanvikens SK, Apollon Solna FK, Stureby SK and Jarlabergs IF).
