AIK FF Akademi was one of 123 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Oktoberpokalen 2016. They participated with one team in P05 Extra Svår [9-m] (Inbjudningsklass).

In addition to AIK FF Akademi, 9 other teams played in P05 Extra Svår [9-m] (Inbjudningsklass). They were divided into 2 different groups, whereof AIK FF Akademi could be found in Group 2 together with Syrianska FC, Örebro SK FK, Rödeby AIF and IFK Göteborg.

AIK FF Akademi made it to Slutspel A after reaching 1:st place in Group 2. Once in the playoff they won every match inluding the Final against IF Brommapojkarna, which they won with 2-0. Thereby AIK FF Akademi won the entire Slutspel A in P05 Extra Svår [9-m] (Inbjudningsklass) during Oktoberpokalen 2016.

AIK FF Akademi also participated in P05 Svår/Extra Svår during Oktoberpokalen 2015. They won Slutspel A, after beating IF Brommapojkarna 1,5 in the final with 3-2.

AIK Akademi comes from Solna which lies approximately 5 km from Djursholm, where Oktoberpokalen takes place. The area around Solna does also provide 104 additional clubs participating during Oktoberpokalen 2016 (Among others: Täby FK, Nacka FC, Hammarby IF FF, IFK Vaxholm, Djurgårdens IF FF 7, Saltsjöbadens if, Hanvikens SK, Apollon Solna FK, Stureby SK and Jarlabergs IF).
